Nobody is comparing Iran with U S might but in today's world, if you have the right economy and the right alliance, countries will be wary of attacking you to prevent escalation to World War.

The syrian president, Bashar Assad was almost defeated by the foreign backed rebels and U S already sent their soldiers to Syria thinking Assad that Assad will soon fall, But immediately he enter into alliance with Russia. U S withdrew his soldiers from Syria and Russia bomb the rebels including ISIS and they fled the country.

U S could have attack not Korea ever since but they dear not because it will escalate due to China and Russian support.

Iran may not be able to resist US attacks ,but so also is Iran an impossible terrain for the US to conquer. They have already gamed it long time ago and sadly, they found out that it would take mass casualties to realize considerable success, let alone complete overrun of the country.
