The second term bid of Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Thursday receives boost as APC governors stormed Lokoja in continuation of reconciliation process within the party in the state.

The Chairman, Progressive ()APC Governors Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu and Yobe State Governor, Mai-Mala Buni addressed Kogi APC members at All inclusive stakeholders meeting held in Lugard House.

Alhaji Bagudu who admitted that the forum realised the energetic and vibrant contribution of his Kogi State counterpart called on other stakeholders of the party to close ranks with the Governor for the progress of the state and the All Progressives Congress.

He narrated how the Kogi State Governor was blazing the trail with the example ofthe World Bank Intervention soon to be accessed by Kogi State to the tune of over $27 million through NEWMAP project.

Alhaji Bagudu said the gesture demonstrates the energy and commitment seen by the World Bank team on part of the Governor when other states were making efforts to access between $7 million and $10 million.

He also applauded the maturity that has been demonstrated by the former state APC party chairman, Alhaji Hadi Ametuo, who had earlier admitted to have buried his hatchet for the progress and growth of the party.

Speaking, the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello expressed gratitude to his colleagues for finding time to pay the state the visit and restated his determination to carry out more developmental projects that would have positive bearings on the lives of the people.

On his part, the Chief of staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon Edward Onoja had earlier applauded his boss for giving the youths voice by including them in the policy formulation and implementation in the state, saying that while other states and Nigeria at large are still battling with the “Not Too Young To Run” movement, Governor Bello had already given the demographic a sense of belonging.

He thanked the Governor for ensuring the youths have their inputs on issues bothering the state from ward, local government to the state levels by making them commissioners, Special Advisers, Administrators among others.
