HUMAN rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, has threatened to file a suit against the Chief Judge of the Federal High court, Justice Abdukadir Abdu-Kafarati, if he fails to direct the Judges of the Federal High Courts in Nigeria to conduct monthly inspection of detention facilities of agencies of the Federal Government.

Falana, in a statement, said: “If our request is not granted within seven days of the receipt of this letter, we shall not hesitate to file a suit at the Federal High Court seeking to compel your Lordship to carry out your duty under section 34 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act.”

The reason why this country is upside down is because of people like you I pray you don't end up in prison for a case you don't even know about.

First, there is no such thing as Vote of No confidence in Nigeria. You only have impeachment. Vote of no confidence applies in parliamentary systems like the UK.

Secondly - members of the legislature are immune from proceedings with regards to what they do in the Legislative house. You can take some time to read the Legislative Houses (Powers & Privileges) Act.

This is the ONLY and AUTHENTIC human rights lawyer in Nigeria. I don't know why newspapers still refer to Osakhomeh as human rights lawyer. Osakhome has never known to champion the cause of common people before except taking up cases that involve enemies of the people and corrupt individuals.
