My sister's fiancee was speechless for some
minutes before he opened his mouth
."Forgive me for that, I didn't even think
about it" he broke the silence ."I will only take heed to
your advice if you can do that as well" Karis
said .He went on his kneel and begged me "please forgive me for forsaken
your elder sister"'I hold his hands and raise
d him up. "I will forgive you for one condition"
I said ."And what is that?" he asked ."If you
will go back and marry my elder sister" I
said. "I will go
back and marry her, I do love her but was
hinder by my dad avariance attitude,I will show you that I do love her tomorrow
and am ready to cater for her as my sacred
treasure" he said emotionally .We spend the
night we him and we remove the cat from
the bag (they reveal their secret) .It is dawn
,we all went back to Bebelebiri 2 with his parents and family
members to marry my elder sister without a
dowry .The marriage was two time better
than the formal .We were all happy once
again as my parents and our inlaws were
united without any dispute.My uncle stood up with a face that was cover with anger and
disappointment, "why are you guys trying to
disobey the tradition of this land.doing
wedlock without dowry,that's a taboo!" my
incle
exclaimed ."Mister man,that's a taboo in your tradition and not mine"my sister's father
inlaw stood up and replied him. "What are
you trying to insinuate,are you trying to go
against the gods of this land" my uncle said
."Am not from this village and this is not your
son's marriage,don't try to ruin my son's marriage and happiness,if you are not please
with what we are doing,you can leave" the
groom's dad said .My uncle and the rest of
his family went home with anger and frustration .

*****TWO WEEKS LATER*****
My dad phone started ringing ."Dad your
phone is ringing" I told him and went and
brought the phone to him. "Hello,who is this?"
my dad asked. "Is me, sir Kuro,I want to speak
with Ebiere" my dad handover the phone to
me ."Hello" I said. "Is this Ebiere on the line" he asked curiously. "Yes sir,is me" I replied. "There is
a
scholarship exam that is about to kickoff in
this village, I will make sure you are guided
on how to tackle their questions" he said. "Ok
sir,thank you for letting me know" I cut the call."Dad ,mum,sir Kuro just informed me that
there is going to be a scholarship exam in
this village and he is going to make sure that
am guided on how to tackle their questions" I
said with joy all over my face. "That's good
of you,you need to study hard from today" my dad advised me. "I now have an
opportunity to study abroad,so my dream is
surely going to come to reality if I pass the
scholarship exam" I said to myself .I was
going out to fetch a bucket of water before
Joy approached me on my way. "Hi,Joy" I greeted.
"How
are you doing" she replied. "Sir Kuro told me
that there is going to be scholarship exam in
this village and he is going to guide me on
how to answer their questions" I said happily."Thank you for letting me know,let me go
and inform my dad" Joy said. "Ok" Joy went
back home. "Why are you running home as if
someone is after you" Joy's dad said. "Ebiere
told me that sir Kuro
informed her that there is going to be a scholarship exam and he is going to coach her
on how to answer their question" Joy said
."Hmmm" he exclaimed. "I don't want her to
pass, I want you to do something about it"
Joy said. "Don't worry I will tell the king to
restrict sir Kuro from teaching her" Joy dad picked his phone from a table that is in the sitting room and dialed the king's
number ."Who is this" the king requested .
"My lord,don't you recognize my voice again"
Joy's dad said . "So is you that is calling
me,why are you calling me very early in the morning?"
the king required. " I heard that your son is
the one that is going to coach your
chaffeur's daughter on how to tackle the
scholarship exam questions " Joy's dad said
with a mouthful of jealousy ."what! So my chaffeur has turn my son to his
daughter's personal private home teacher ,I
must deal with
him, I will hinder my son from teaching his
daughter and I will send him to a far away
land where they will not be able to contact each other" the king was very angry ."Thank
you my
lord,that's why you are the best king in the
whole of Attisa clan,there is none like you"
Joy's dad smiled and laughed out a wicked
