czarina: I am just guessing but I think if the body's pH level is very high, it prevents fertilisation of the ovum from taking place. I think the drink raises the body's pH level to a high acidic status and thus preventing fertilisation. Also, the condition also reduces the activity of the sperms to fertilise.
