The student above by name Stephen Dareng who is a student of St. Joseph’s college vom, Plateau state was beaten up till point of unconsciousness by his Physics Teacher Mr.Pascal Nnaji.

CandyTv got it that Stephen was beaten because of few alligations that he was Buying drugs and Weed for students in the school.

The Old student association (VOBA) National ExCo within few hrs of reading a WhatsApp message sent by Plangzak Gunat (03 Set) on what he saw on Friday at Mandela Clinic K- Vom, paid a Visit to CSJ. The Visit coincided with the CSJ last Visiting Day of the term.

The Principal, Mr Benedict Mailafiya who gave the School’s version of the story.

We didn’t get the opportunity to meet Mr Pascal Nnaji, the Teacher in question.

Afterall investigations, we got it that,

Stephen’s face was more swollen than what we saw in the pictures. His right eye is completely closed while his left eye could barely open.

Stephen’s offence according to the School is that he is an errand boy for 3 named Drug Users in SS3. That he traffics drugs from Anguldi to CSJ.

Stephen’s version of the story is that he was investigated for the possession of drugs & weed which CSJ Boys call ‘contraband’.

All Students we spoke to, attested to Stephen’s innocence, moreover no drug or weed was found in his possession during the search.

Stephen got the wound on his face during torture by flogging when he refused to give any useful information.

It was alleged that Mr Nnaji used fan belt to flog Stephen on his head. Affecting his fore head and his neck.

CSJ admits that Mr Nnaji’s action was an error and an accident. Stating clearly that the action was not intentional.

Mr Nnaji has already been cautioned by the School Vice Principal and has accepted to bear the cost of Stephen’s treatment.
