Vconnect Launches Omnibiz For Smes In Nigeria by ayo4lahanyahoo: 5:44pm On Jun 30, 2019
A Lagos based tech start-up that provides a holistic growth solution to SMEs across Sub-Saharan Africa has officially launched its new platform, Omnibiz, in 8 countries - Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.
Omnibiz is a one-stop business hub for SMEs across sub-Saharan Africa. This platform empowers businesses with tools that they can use to enhance their reliability, visibility, and financial capability. Omnibiz aims to facilitate the growth journey of SMEs on the continent by preparing them for the funding processes of various investment institutions. Data has shown that the lack of visibility and credibility have been crucial factors for companies in Africa in the case of accessing funding. This has led to millions of SMEs going out of business within a few months
after beginning operations as highlighted by the London Stock Exchange Africa advisory group. Omnibiz was actualized by Deepankar Rustagi, founder of vconnect.com - Africa’s leading online services marketplace. During the launch, Deepankar expressed that “Omnibiz was born out of the need for us to holistically tackle the unique problems businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa face, going beyond just connecting them to
customers looking for their services. This launch also signals our strong commitment to being an enabler of businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa and our partnership with Google My Business is another step to enable businesses on the continent to be more visible to customers.”
The Omnibiz Solution for SMEs:
● Build Reliability by creating a business profile and managing a presence on multiple platforms from a single place (i.e. Google, Facebook, Instagram,Vconnect, etc.)
● Grow Visibility using lead generation from search, social media, local marketplaces, and targeted marketing tools for Emails and SMS
● Equip business for scalability using lead management systems, digital invoicing and payments, and an accessible database of business reports
● Simplify applications for funding by connecting businesses to relevant funding institutions, while providing a single profile with credibility and a rating score, thus improving qualifications to receive funds from appropriate institutions Omnibiz officially kicked off its launch and partnership with Google My Business in Lagos, Nigeria on June 26th-28th, 2019 by hosting an SME masterclass and networking event at The Nest in Yaba, Lagos . This event composed of keynote sessions and panel discussions led by industry experts along with the launch and
demonstration of the Omnibiz tool. The partnership was also celebrated with a “Grow with Google” training session. Claude Blatter, Google My Business Lead, Sub-Saharan Africa, said “With Google My Business, merchants and businesses have been able to create interesting and
useful Business Profiles on Google Search and Google Maps to attract more calls, website and store visits that grow their business for free. We're excited that as a result of this collaboration with Omnibiz - the one-stop-shop solution and platform, many more Nigerian businesses will be able to create, verify and especially take ownership of their Business Profiles across Google.” This partnership further strengthens the offerings of the tool as SMEs engaged with Omnibiz will obtain increased visibility by publishing and managing their listings on Google My Business thus increasing their reach and attracting more customers. Using Omnibiz, SMEs will build capacity via organized training and events for their businesses.
