The Legal Privilleges and Practice Commitee Yesterday stripped former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Mr Micheal Aondoakaa of the title "Senior Advocate of Nigeria" (SAN) and all privilleges attached to it, According to the Secretary LPPC,Mr Olanipekun "Mr Aondoakaa has been suspended from using the title SAN and all privilleges attached to it,following a petition brought against him by Campaign for Defence of Human Rights,CDHR and his subsequent actions".This is the first time a Senior Advocate will be stripped of the title since the beginning of the conferment of the title in 1975. Fine. I like it. They should do this more often. However, that SAN thingy should be scrapped. |
