The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Monday disclosed that it has over 400 witnesses willing to testify at the presidential election petition tribunal.

PDP’s lead counsel, Levi Uzeugwu made this disclosure while responding to a question by the tribunal chairman, Mohammed Garba, meant to help the tribunal arrange a timetable for the hearing of the substantive application.

Garba had asked the PDP counsel to state the number of witnesses they had so that the court would decide on the duration of time to be allowed for each party to cross examine the witnesses.

The opposition party is challenging the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja.

PDP can bring 4 million witnesses if they like, its them against technology and against an Act. What they described is impossible with technology.

Ev e n in US when they probe electoral petitions they get to a point and back out. Because if they continued they would destroy the virtues of authority in their own electoral system. It is called self-preservation

Atiku will lose the case in Supreme Court because at that level judges rely more on judicial opinion and the sacredness of law and society. There is no judicial opinion, not even in US where similar issues have been witnessed, that would support his position. What he is claiming with t he server data, technically, is electronic security breach....otherwise known as hacking. Cybersecurity experts will frown at his method if they are invited as techology specialists to brief the court.

Having large number of witnesses doesn't win cases.
