A suicidal woman was on Monday evening, rescued after she jumped into a river somewhere in Kogi State.



According to reports, the unidentified lady alighted from a commercial trycycle on a bridge, left her luggage behind and jumped into the river.

Fortunately, someone quickly jumped in and rescued her. It's not clear if the rescuer was the Keke driver or a diver.

She just alighted from a tricycle, left her luggage behind and jumped off the bridge? That part just reminded me of the 2008 movie, The Happening, in which people committed mass suicide when they came in contact with air which was presumably polluted with a neurotoxin.

No one would be thinking of suicide if situations in the country were better.. The University is corrupt, the common man is corrupt, the police, the politicians.. All they know is Ruga..

I don't know exactly what she might be going through but I pray hope and reasons to live return her. Things are very difficult in Kogi but hang on.
