Tribunal: PDP Withdraws Election Petition Against Sokoto Speaker by dorothybella(f): 6:32am On Jul 03, 2019 |
The Election Petitions Tribunal in Sokoto has dismissed a petition against the Speaker, Sokoto State House of Assembly, Alhaji Aminu Manya-Achida. This follows the withdrawal of the petition by the petitioner, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Kwargaba for State Assembly seat, Wurno constituency in the 2019 election. At the Tribunal’s sitting on Tuesday, Yusuf Abubakar, counsel to Kwagarba moved an application for withdrawal of the petition challenging the election of Manya-Achida. Abubakar explained that the application for withdrawal was based on petitioner’s willing consent in line with constitutional and electoral laws provisions. Manya-Achida’s Counsel, Bashir Jodi was not opposed to the withdrawal application but demanded N200, 000 as cost on the ground of efforts made on the processes. Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Yusuf Ubale, granted the application and ruled that the petition with number EPT/SKT/HA/016/019 had been delisted from the Tribunal. He, however, awarded N30, 000 as cost requested by the respondent’s counsel, Mr Jodi Read more here https://thickmatch.com/tribunal-pdp-withdraws-election-petition-sokoto-speaker/

Re: Tribunal: PDP Withdraws Election Petition Against Sokoto Speaker by tuniski: 11:58am On Jul 03, 2019 |
garfield1: Tambuwwal won against all odds and slowly but surely pdp will erode apc in Sokoto. Anyway, without buhari many more states in the north will still end up with pdp. |

tuniski:Like apc eroded pdp in imo.you dont know politics,no need to argue,i know how it will end.by 2023,apc will clear everywhere and you will bring up your democracy narratives.am used to you |
Re: Tribunal: PDP Withdraws Election Petition Against Sokoto Speaker by tuniski: 1:13pm On Jul 03, 2019 |
garfield1:We talk Sokoto you. Jump to Imo Pele master of politics. My only issue with you is engaging someone you termed ignorant. If I were you, I won't stoop low. By the way, yours is mandate thievery or violence. Oya let apc win everywhere 2023 fairly. By 2023 PDP would be controlling majority of the states before the elections and apc will be brutalized. Wake up there won't be buhari on the ballot and electoral act would have been amended for compulsory e-transmmission. |

Mmlanrehh:I tell you. Tambulwa and Wike are great PDP men. Watch this space, all APC legislators will soon decamp to PDP. If you know the power of executive governor, you wont need to argue this. That is why the likes of Ambode and Jonathan should not hold executive offices again. |
