im yoruba dating an ibo guy, but most of my friends say i shouldnt waste my time, i want to knw if intercultural relationships do workout and if not, why?? sad

They certainly can and I've seen lots of people who are married (and hopefully happily so) to people from other tribes, cultures and races

the thing is im not familiar with yoruba culture, (i blame modernization) but he knows everything in d ibo culture, n im wondering if ill have 2 learn all about his culture and turn ibo

Prof. Vincent Chukwuemeka Ike and Bimpe Ike, Amb. Emeka Anyaoku and Bimbo Anyaoku, Sen. Ike Nwachukwu, Musician Stephen Osita Osadebe are a few examples of Igbo men who are married to Yoruba women. They are fine and cool. So feel welcome.

yeah, am in yr shoe too wink. we have done our intro, wedding proper will be comi up early next year (God willing). he is Igbo from Abor Mbaise in Imo State, while am from Ogun State, we have been dating for close two 3 yrs now, and i have no regret whatsoever. although, expect to have som issues sha, either from his side or from yr side, mine was from my side,but its gonna be resolved @ d end of d day (just like mine smiley. but they all supported me @ d end of d day. so, be calm and make sure u ar doing it for good reasons, dat only will help you a lot smiley its alright sister mi, no big deal
