And what is bad if someone was a cult member when he was lost in the world and found Christ who changed his life. Even Apostle Paul in the Bible was once a very rugged man before he found Christ and became one of the most hard working preachers in the Bible.
No one was born a saint and the moment you find Christ, your old ways are past away and all things become new. Him being a cultist back in the days has nothing to do with the love of God when you give your life to Christ. The rape accusation is the issue and if he is guilty of it while he was already a born again then that's very bad. If not God will still fight his battle for him and he will rise up stronger than before.
