This is a farce,we will never be truly united, there is chaos in our diversity because at the end of the same we all have the same instinct which is survival, you can't fault us for being human.

Does Buhari mean All Fulanis Unite or what?

Is it not Buhari who is running a Fulani govt?

As an Igbo man, I have nothing in common with Hausa and Yorubas except that Lord Lugard brought us all together and bastardised us with the name "Nigeria" in 1914

This is not unity, it is a prison

Buhari's nepotism and tribalism is what is killing Nigeria. The country is great and with strong unifying and equitable leader, the nation will be great and mighty....I tell you.

Nigeria means unity when a new state is added to the SE and their political power restored, all the regions given equal justice and not making a particular region the best.

Tamasaba:
Equity is what will unite us. Treat everybody equally regardless of tribe, religion and political affiliation

You get sense. That's the only that can guarantee the continual coexistence of this hopeless country. If only the rest of Nigerians will understand the simple reason for agitations from various quarters especially the Igbos who are demanding for equal rights and opportunities, then there will be much progress and development. Fulanis/northern Muslims are being given preferential treatment, Yorubas are being mildly considered for sucking their asses and being hypocritical, then the rest of us are being treated like conquered people, that is the problem.

Deep down, we know we are deceiving ourselves...

I believe the country has expired and can't move forward if we continue recycling same people as leaders. So it's better to go separate ways.

People like you are among the problem we're having in this country. Don't talk so precariously. All the killings and hate in this country is due to disunity among the citizens

They are trying too hard to correct their mistakes. Mr president has already goofed on Ruga saga. And people of Nigeria have seen fulanis in bad light already, it will take some years to change that perception.

My take is Mr president should not only suspend Ruga but cancel it and any other lifestock program. Else other good initiatives by the govt will be roundly rejected by the citizens (people no longer trust the govt and the opposition will use it to their advantage to win sympathy).

We should all embrace peace and stop heating up the polity (both the govt and citizens)

Splendid write up bro

I honestly do not understand who advised them to start this ruga thing!!!

Nigeria has myriad of issues and they thought ruga was the way to go?

I am still dumbfounded, frankly, and you said the populace don't trust the government anymore

They are doing that already even there on Twitter. Can't you see the Yoruba guy who mentioned the three major tribes starting with Yoruba and still ended up with the Naija means unity hashtag.

Unity in Nigeria is not possible!

with over 300 tribes in a single country, and all these hate and selfish attitude portrayed by many... the marriage wouldn't work.

Ethiopia has the largest tribal diversity in Africa (more than Nigeria) but they are moving forward. why? Ethiopia existed even before Jesus came. they have no colonial masters or independence day.

what lord luggard did was an abomination! it will never work...not now, not ever!

Ethiopia does not have more tribal diversity (80 verified tribal groups) than Nigeria but thrived because like you said had no colonial masters

So you want 300 countries?
A nation does not need unity to move forward.
All we need is sane people in positions of power.

The destiny of this country is in our hands let us decide now and take it back from the elected.l am worried that this is what the remaining less than four years of this government would be all about.

Take note this year is half gone and Nigeria is just floating. In short this year is gone already. This government just have 2020 and 2021 to do something because 2022 will be embroiled with side campaign matters before campaign official roll out and then election 2023.

The tribes making up what Mrs. Shaw called “Nigeria” were never united before the colonial masters arrived and they never united us because they believed we shared similar values and concepts of life. They did it because they wanted to maximize their profits.

We have never being one, we would never be one.

Nigeria is nothing but a time bomb waiting to explode; we have been forcefully put in a contraption whose lid would soon be blown off!

Even Lord Luggard said it that we were forcefully brought together.

Mr. Luggard may you never find peace where ever you are in the world beyond!
