When I was growing up in Nigeria, I wasn't really allowed to play in the streets with all the other children so when I had the opportunity, I ran with it. I was allowed to play outside just not in places where I could get dirty. Even the neighborhood children would tell me they didn't want me to get dirty tongue embarassed undecided cry. Anyway, one day I saw some of the neighborhood children throwing their slippers into the moving rain water or in the gutters so they could watch it go from on end of the street to the other. Ahhh, those were good times grin.
