Lecturers with MC oluomo IQ.

Why not charge them a token to retrieve their phones thereby generating revenues for the school
as in ehn!!! Some of these elders/leaders/office holders are so dumb and can't think outside the box. If you asked what they have gained from this action now, they will tell you stupid things like "this will serve as a lesson to others". Dumb asses always waiting for government to finance them.

First off, the truly expensive phones were not burnt... Forget that subterfuge you are seeing there...

Secondly, Can someone explain the essence of this publicity stunt? To make us value the school as a center of high quality education?

Thirdly, a school of high educational standard will not destroy devices that were designed to facilitate research via online publications.

Finally, Isn't this a clear violation of basic information rights of the students, does it mean people who gain admission cease to have rights? undecided

Two wrongs can never make a right. People are just useless in this country. Why can't they simply fine those culprit? Use the money for something meaningful, renovate somewhere, buy equipment to labs or just dash beggers the money. Why waste stuffs when we still live in poverty. We are crazy

Stupidos. How A so called higher institution can do this is beyond me. Whoever came up with this idea should be sacked. What madness and waste of resources, not to even talk about the environmental pollution toxic fumes from those burning phones would bring.

After the barbaric and idiotic lecturers have removed the Samsung phones for themselves.

Now they are burning plastic phones, with internal PCBs, capacitors & lithium ion batteries with TYRES.

In an educational institution where people should be going to LEARN about pollution and the environment.

The truth is that NO MATTER how much our educational institutions are funded, as long as they are operated by people with the average Nigerian mentality, there will be ZERO improvement in educational quality.

Misplaced priorities, dpp student are yet to submit their 1st semester courses from 3wks after exam and the management are there burning mobile phones. Why not auction them off or recycle ♻ the panels. Sell the batteries, fancy casing, memory cards, screen, touch pads or better still fine the way you owners. I doubt if the iPhone 7 and Samsung edge seized from my coursemate is there.

I see these phones have masking tapes on them probably with the ID of the owners written on them. Why didn't they just return them? Waste of money
There are possibilities that some of the student might bail their phones out why some wouldn't. It all comes with a huge price. So names are pasted on the device for easy identification and their dep numbers. Or probably their identification written on it immediately the culprit are caught for later trial if the needs arises.

See f*%kwits from a so called higher educational institution destroying their environment? Burning phones which contains lithium batteries and other materials is dangerous and it will seep into the soil leaving carcinogenic products. Later now una dey ask for cancer treatment? Why not sell them or fine the owners? See mumus.
