It will be in their best interest to return that money or face charges. This particular video shows their faces, license plates and types of cars. The police will ask everyone to return whatever was picked and not face any charges. A smart person would return some money and keep the rest, they cannot know how much was picked.
.Buh don't you thing the money print has codes on them? They might still be caught if they eventually spend the money or I don't thing so?

The good news is that those who will be involved in getting the money are very very smart. It is very much harder to get away with crimes nowadays. They will find that money!

patchsk:
Nonsense.
Empty threat.

If I took $2.5k and return 1k dollars. Won't I be praised?

Drivers were forced to pulled over when the door of an armored truck, belonging to GardaWorld Corp., accidentally swung open while driving along Interstate 285 Tuesday evening --- spilling hard cash everywhere.

The Video above shows dozens of drivers pulling over to the side of the road in Dunwoody, Georgia, and dashing for the cash.

City of Dunwoody Sgt. Robert Parsons estimated about $175,000 (or about ₦63 million) spilled out onto the highway.

According to the Police department, drivers will not be able to keep the stolen cash :

The City of Dunwoody twitter page showed one person who turned over cash, with the message:

Hmmmmm... Cases Like This Hardly Happens In Nigeria. Even If It Happens, Fully-armed Police officers Are There To Protect The Cool Cash! .

This is why it's not every time you bring out your phone, record a video of strangers and post it on the internet. Now you're an enemy of progress

They won't recover even 20 percent of the money .

Here's why : If someone picked up $6,000 , they can return $500. And keep the rest. There is no way for them to know how much people actually picked up.

Look at how they are picking the money with civility and in orderly fashion.

If it was naija, fights would have landed people in hospital and mortuary.
Inferiority complex is ruining you.
Those drivers are thieves just like every opportunist in all countries.
But since you hate yourself, you had to find a way to praise your superiors.

Bros nobody is facing any charges, the money has already been insured. You are doing the insurance company a by favor by returning it because they will still not record it as money recovered. The total sum will be reimbursed whether u returned it or not.

They will face charges. Yes the money is insured but they also want to cut their loss. Whatever is returned will not be reimbursed by the insurance company. Read the article again, it clearly says they will face charges if not returned.

If na Naija, no stress at all. Just pick 10,000 dollars in Lagos and relocate to Kimo village in Kebbi state buy enough cows and have enough laborers to till the ground and harvest for u in due time; and u will live happily ever after.

Umm, grand larceny?? Theft?? Taking money that isn't yours is a crime. They may not know how much exactly but they have video footage showing those who picked up money. Rather than facing charges, a wise person would return some and keep the rest, but thinking you can get away with avoiding the police entirely, isn't wise.
