Hi guys, I'll be talking about matt 5:16, I'll need your help in explaining it in a fellowship

I've never done this before, just attended a fellowship and I was dashed the bible passage to talk on.

M't:5:16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Things to talk about:
1. That Christians are lights and light bearers (You are the light of the world)
2. God expects each Christian to make his/her light continue to shine. How? By doing good deeds!(Use the story of Tabitha for example of one who did good works or other examples)
a. Believe in God and His son
What are good deeds?
b. Love God and love your neighbour
c. Visit the sick, visit the prisoners, give food to the hungry, clothe the naked, be hospitable to strangers etc.
3. Grow in God and be a strong soldier of Christ to be fully useful to the kingdom
4. Seek to glorify God in all you do
You need bible verses to support each point.

It's an admonition to live an exemplary life consistent with the life of Jesus and his teachings.

1. Walk in love
2. Love even your enemies Matthew 5:44
3. Do good to your enemies - Romans 12:17-19.
4. Learn to forgive.
5. Treat people well.
6. Act like the good Samaritan.
7. Live a holy life.
8. Be honest
9. Be truthful.
Etc.

That message is to those who have been able to achieve holiness and have been approved righteous by God Himself. They are those who are able to have Jesus Christ living inside of them as well as do works of righteousness aka good works.

An unrighteous man does not have Jesus Christ --- the Way, the Truth and the Life(all Spirits) living inside of them -- and such unholiness renders all works an abomination to God.
