Prince Tony Momoh, a former Minister of Information on Monday said only President Muhammadu Buhari can determine when to assemble his cabinet as the Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Momoh, who is one of the national leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) also said the constitution which stipulates that the President should appoint ministers in all states of the federation never prescribes any timeline with which he can do it.

When that President Cyril Ramaphosa reminded appointed his cabinet just 96 hours after he was inaugurated, Momoh said Nigeria is not South Africa.

“And so? Are we South Africa? Is Buhari the same as Ramaphosa? Do you that the African National Congress (ANC) is more than 100 years old? We are just marking 20 years of democracy here”.

You are correct Mr Momoh we are not South Africa.

South Africa generates over 50000MW of electricity we cant even generate 5000MW. So yes we are definitely not the same as them.
