Obasanjo's Letter To Buhari Is A Clear Statement Of Fact by aniekaneka: 4:12am On Jul 18, 2019
I took time this morning to go through Obasanjo's letter to Buhari. Believe me, everything in that letter is factual. Those throwing tantrums at former President Obasanjo for this letter may not have read the letter at all, till the end, with understanding, are just blinded by party politics or are outrightly being mischievous!

The facts remain, Nigeria of today is on the brink of self-destruction! The wave of insecurity across the nation is pervasive and the situation is becoming quite hopeless!

Every fact spelled out in Obasanjo's letter reflect the true state of our nation as at today! Let us not shy away from the truth nor lie to ourselves that all is well with Nigeria.

Party interest and affiliation aside, Nigeria is fast becoming a failed state under Buhari. This country seems to be run by a cabal using Buhari as a smokescreen. His intentions may be good but his government seems to lack the political will to execute or call the shots.

The four calamities mentioned in Obasanjo's letter are real, as real as life itself! A paragraph in the letter reads, "No one can stop hate speech, violent agitation, and smoldering violent agitation if he fans the embers of hatred, disaffection, and violence." Are these not what the Buhari-led administration is synonymous with? HATRED, DISAFFECTION, AND VIOLENCE? Nigeria has never had it so bad! How sad!

Fulani herdsmen against farmers, prevalent Boko Haram attacks and recently, banditry, insurgency, kidnapping, violent crimes, and terrorism, are these things not happening in excess under the Buhari-led administration?

No sane person would go through Obasanjo's letter to Buhari and not pause to think deeply about the situation of things in this country. No sane human being would knock Obasanjo for this letter! We should learn to stay on the issues!

Chief Obasanjo has nibbed the challenges in the bud and also suggested possible, workable solutions in his open letter. The Presidency should swallow its pride and go through this letter over and over, and pick out some points, add to their ideas and give us a better Nigeria.

WE ARE TIRED OF EXCUSES!

Buhari said he belongs to everybody and he belongs to nobody. Politics should not make our President go blind against the realities on the ground nor turn deaf ears to the yearnings of Nigerians. Politics should not make our President fail to realize his powers! He is the Commander-in-Chief! He is the General!

To be that hero he has always wanted to be, our President must as a matter of urgency, take serious steps to save Nigeria.

No one should insult Obasanjo for that open letter. Every word in it is a fact.

I'm always surprised at anyone saying Buhari may be well-intentioned but a cabal is using him. Anyone who did not see what is happening now before 2015, has a brain made of wood.

Nigeria is falling bit by bit, even a blind man can see that. The recent tensions across the country by herdsmen and the President's response is setting a new dimension for things
