The police need to answer a lot of questions as to why they killed the teenage boys in Benin City accused of stealing a Venza car.

The Inspector General of police should Take up this case and probe the unprofessional manner at which the operation was carried out by his boys.

1. The news reported that one of the boys died in the police station. A boy that has been apprehended and doesn't pose any threat to them. Why didn't the police take him to the hospital. Handcuffs him and later take him to court. But instead they allow the poor boy to bleed to death.

2. Why didn't the police shoot them on the legs or try to disarm them knowing fully well that a person is innocent until proven guilty in a law court. But yet they choose to shoot them at sight. Who gave them that order.

3. It was rumoured that one of the boys took the Venza car away just to punish his uncle who has been denying to help him in life but instead the uncle called the police that armed Robbers came to snatch his car. The uncle could have set them up with false alarm.

Yes criminals deserves no mercy.

But in this case, the law should come first before your opinion. They are innocent until proven guilty.

They were just boys. How do we know if they were working alone when the Law haven't heard their own side of the story.

These boys might have just been joy riding. Some little things young kids do for fun.

However when I read the tracker of the vehicle was not removed after the theft, it showed the armed robbers were learners.

The hardworking police do not an order before they shoot the guys that shot at them. If the police did open fire in defence, they would have been gunned down by the boys

The people saying the boys were armed, why has the police refused to display the guns the boys used to shoot at them?

Can the owner of the car release details of the tracker so that we can see the movement of the car from when he reported it stolen to when the boys were gunned down?

Has anyone run background checks to see if the owner of the car and any of the boys are not in anyway related?

Was the car broken into?

Was it hijacked from the owner on the road? If yes, there should be witnesses

The owner of the car should give statements at different times to different people so that his story can be checked for discrepancies

If everything is as it was originally reported, then those young boys were guilty after all
