The Zamfara state govt just came out claiming a peace deal has been secured between indigenous Awusa farmers and Fulani bandits/herdsmen.

With the foregoing, the bandits have agreed to stop robbing and kidnapping in Zamfara.

Bandits will be bandits until appropriately curtailed with full weight of the law and thrown in jail where they belong.

The bandits only agreed to stop robbing, killing and kidnapping within Zamfara.

I expect they will now shift base to other states in the middle belt and SW.

The SW is a good spot to relocate as there are easy and better pickings among the docile and more wealthy Yorubas.

Is the SW now about to turn to Zamfara 2.0 complete with Fulani herdsmen and bandits? From all indications it is already facing same scenario but on a much covet manner. Also, with the siege of major roads within the SW by fulani herdsmen who have been fingered as the prime suspects terrorising the highways and remote towns and villages in the region, the relocation of zamfara bandits to the SW is a matter of when and not if as their governors and elders have shown no single effort to stem fulani terrorist already in the SW.
