Clearly you have not read the history. Adekunle didn't do anything but took credit for the work of his first in command, Alabi-Isama. Most of the win given to Adekunle's platoons were led by Alabi-Isama. Adekunle was predominately in Lagos majority of the war as reported by Alabi-Isama himself. The first attack he led, they lost significantly hence, he was demoted. Even at that, whether Alabi-Isama or Adekunle, the platoon intentionally avoided areas where Biafra soliders were and went after civilians. Most of what they did was go after civilians that had no arms to defend themselves. They were, in my opinion, the ultimate definition of Cowardly and weak.

Even if secession clause had been in the constitution, it would not have helped anybody because in 1966 when the military came in, the constitution was suspended and removed.

The only help the British provided was Weapons, and wars aren't won by weapons alone, but by determination and will-power. for example Saudi Arabia with all latest military toys and billions spent on buying sophisticated weapons are still unable to defeat rag tag Militias in Yemen.

Although one must give kudos to the Biafran troops, who with little weapons fought the FG, we must also learn not to undermine the efforts of some of the soldiers on the federal side.
