Then which of the court order are the asking buhari to obey?
The Government is sighting national security grounds, which they have a right to use, furthermore an high court in Kaduna, most recently, gave a recent judgement that they should be held in DSS custody through out the hearing of their case.

It will leave a bad precedence, let him have his day at court. No man is above the law, you can't blackmail justice...otherwise the force of the Republic will fall on you. Iran should mind their problems, evil extremists.

That exactly is my point.

Ken Saro-Wiwa was arrested in 1992 by the government of Ibrahim Babangida. The case was in court when, all of a sudden an order came from Admiral Aikhomu that he should be released.

Saro-Wiwa was shocked. What happened to the judge? What happened to the court? How can you just order my release when there's a case in court? What kind of judiciary is that?

(He wrote about his experience in a book called "A Month And A Day" ).

It is for exactly the same reason that I was against the Federal Government detaining him when the court granted him bail that I am against the idea of the president ordering his release without going through the judicial process.

If the president can order the release of someone we like, then he can order the release of someone we don't like.

What if, for example, someone related to the president kills someone and he is arraigned in court, but the president orders the police to release him. What will you say?

The government is in a better position to know who constitutes a threat to national security cos of the information it is privy to. If they release him and he starts fomenting trouble, you folks will be the first to say the government cant secure lives and properties.

So the government has the powers to overrule court orders right?

You all deserve a military junta since democracy isn't for those that advocates for the subversion of the rule of law(s).

The primary issue was why he was not released while in the FG's custody & you have admitted that you were not comfortable with the FG's decision to DISOBEY the court.

So that the matter is now being handled by the Kaduna state government doesn't negate the fact that for about 2 years, the FG chose to disobey court orders on the matter.

Who is arguing about that? The subject of this thread is the fact that the president can not and should not interfere in the judicial process and the fact that he is being prosecuted by the Kaduna State Government, not the Federal Government. Read the title and first post of this thread.

As far as am concerned, they are all clean unless they are found guilty by a court that their hands have been soiled in corruption and other theft related offences. You people can't be sitting in your dirty parlors and be labelling everybody corrupt without any substantial evidence to back up your allegations.
