It’s a pretty basic requirement placed on everyone: do your best to look good, and smell nice!

Proper grooming is when you can get both right, alongside having healthy oral health and to top it all off, a genial predisposition.

In a social setting, there aren’t many things worse than failing on any of these things, most especially on the body odour issue. This is because you don’t even get the chance to talk to people, get close and show them your great side before they are repulsed at the air you brought in and the foul atmosphere created by your presence.

To avoid body odour or deal with it for good, these are great tips you would find useful.

1. Bath regularly, and properly

Sounds simple enough, right? Well, that is one of the things you would need because it is as powerful as it is simple.
Bath well, and do it at regular, reasonable intervals. The aim is to stay clean and fresh as reasonably as possible.

2. Apply antiperspirant at bedtime

It is advised to do this because this gives the product the chance to work while you sleep and are not sweating. If you apply antiperspirants after showering in the morning, the sweat you accumulate will wash away the product and render you defenseless against daytime sweating.

3. Shave your armpits

This is a no-brainer, especially if you know you are prone to smelling pretty funky
Shaving your underarm regularly will help prevent the accumulation of bacteria and can reduce sweat and odor.
You should also keep your underarms dry. Bacteria have a hard time breeding in dry areas of the body.

4. Wash clothes after one wear

Particularly if you are the type who sweats, or if the clothes in question were sweated into, cleaning them after that wear is necessary.
Sweaty gym clothes or any other sweaty clothes for that matter are a bacteria-breeding ground.

5. Sometimes it’s what you eat

Fatty, oily foods, or strong-smelling foods such as garlic, curry, and onions, can seep through your pores and cause body odor.
This is something you can put to an end by simply filtering what you eat, and leaving out those things that have the propensity of ruining your aura and scent.
