The minimum secondary school age requirement for the National common entrance examination (NCEE) is ten years. we have students graduating university at 18/19 year old.how is that even possible. secondary school takes 6 years and 4 years minimum for B.Sc in Nigeria
10 + 6+ 4 = 20 years. maybe everyone is schooling abroad. what age do you think a child is matured enough for secondary school especially boarding school.

The age restriction is not limited to public schools. Most private schools have it clearly stated in their admission policies not to admit children less than age 10 or 11 as the case may be. Loyola Jesuit, for instance, stipulates that the pupil must have reached the age of 11 or close to it by resumption of the session. While Day Waterman college clearly states that a child must be 11 years old by the 30th September of the year of admission. A host of other schools like Olashore international school, Nigeria Turkish international school propose age 10 in the year of entry as their age limit.

It should be noted that not all kids writes national common entrance examination since there many private secondary schools everywhere.

the school of choice may not be close by.hence,the boarding school.

I would send mine once he/she is 9. So far he is intelligent enough
