Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has raised the alarm that Boko Haram insurgents have higher expertise and better technological weapons than the military. He said this yesterday in Maiduguri while welcoming the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and his entourage who were in Borno to assess the situation of the IDPs in terms of their population and their transition from camp to resettlement. ADVERTISEMENT The governor said the insurgents were now using drones to monitor military operations. This, according to him, shows that the sect possesses higher technological warfare and expertise than the government’s joint military task force.

According to him, “The capacity of the military has to be re-examined in terms of technological warfare. Otherwise this thing (insurgency war) will never end.” “Boko Haram now uses drones to monitor the operations of the military. Without providing proper and up-to-date technological capacity to the military, this thing will never end,” he cautioned.

He urged the Federal Government to increase the “numeral strength” of the security and paramilitary personnel fighting the insurgency war as well as support the civilian JTF to meet the emerging challenges posed by “higher expertise on the part of Boko Haram.”

“Sustained military operations in the Chad Basin cannot be overemphasized in the face of the scaled-up operations of ISWAP in the region”, he said, noting that Borno shared borders with Niger, Chad and Cameroon. Zulum said although all local government areas in the state had been liberated from Boko Haram, “only 10 villages now stand out of the about 500 that used to exist in Northern Borno, only about 20 now stand out of the about 1000 villages that used to exist in Central Borno before 2015.”

Responding, Gbajabiamila said the insurgency continued for “a bit too long and we have to put it behind us.” Gbajabiamila said the federal legislature had now resolved to collaborate with the executive on the Boko Haram war because “it is not yet Uhuru; we are not there yet and the government can’t do it alone.”

The sad reality of what's on ground is that some are playing politics with the BH menace.
Millionaire and Billionaire are been made from the death of our gallant men at the warfront.

Fact is, defeating Boko Haram on our territory isn't a big deal. But it's unfortunate that our leaders and top military official have decided to sacrifice the lives of young Nigerians in exchange for monetary gains.

Just ask yourself this question, why is it that our military are always on the defensive side in this war. How often times have you had that we went offensive in this war? Where are the Boko Haram militias hiding? How come ethat the can gather and move in covoy from their base into borno town, attack their targets for about an hour and still retreat back to their base without been traced? Or are we fighting desert spirits.

This war, a lot of top men don't want it to end.

BOko Haram terrorists utilize their money well to equipped themselves while our military top notch embezzled theirs and expect magic victory. Sadly I feel for all the poor soldiers fighting against these insurgents. Why gambling with people's lives at the expense of more millions.

Isn't this hilarious. Boko Haram doesn't believe in Western education except Islamic education yet they are using drones a product of western education.

On the other hand,

Nigerian government believes in western education so much yet they can't equip their military intelligence with drones to fight Boko Haram and only pray to God for success.

Anyway, I believe that the drones Boko Haram is using to monitor troop movement are actually informants and spies within the Nigerian government and military.

They should be fished out, tried for treason and hanged by the neck.

Which Boko Haram?
Is it the one you people have been lying to have technically defeated for the past 4years plus? So where is this BH technical superiority over the Nigerian army still coming from?
Could this be the outcome of over $15m total ransom money paid to them by PMB in the past 4yrs?
This people don't have respect for even their supporters.
