It's quite unfortunate that some senior officers in the military and ministry of defence have decided to use the insecurity of Nigeria to enrich themselves.... Nigeria can afford the technology and technical expertise needed to end this BH, they will buy old equipments and weapons and be repainting and oiling them |

Give them another $1billion for technological upgrade while ordinary Nigerians continue to swim in abject poverty, crazy leaders. We are only deceiving ourselves if we don't restructure this country along true federalism or revolution. |

ednut1: They are holding Nigeria back by virtue of the federal government policy which centralised most of the governmental powers and functions leaving less for states that is financially endowed like Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Ondo, Anambra etc If the state in Nigeria want to do anything they must have to seek federal blessings before they go about it which is not supposed to be so. The federal government prefer this MASTER AND SERVANT RELATIONSHIP and is happy to see the states SLAVE OVER THEIR FEETS. Nigeria is only federal by name but it is actually a unitary system in disguise. The north had vehemently refused to develop their agriculture to an international standard in which they can derive IGR instead they prefer to rely on the one kobo Nigeria is getting from crude oil sales to India. The north prefer this FEDERAL ! FEDERAL ! THING and that is why they were using Buhari to introduce RUGA SETTLEMENT PLAN which is already a failure. |

When l travelled from Sagamu via Ore to Benin, l counted 28 checking points. Yesterday, l read a story on nairaland about couples that escaped Fulani attack between Ore and Benin while police were on run as well https://www.nairaland.com/5330796/policemen-rescue-mission-run-lives/2 The question that came to my mind was " Can't our military and checking point use drone to monitor from their point to 3km to the bush and track the movement of this bad elements before they come to the highway ? Instead of collect tithe up and down from drivers. Bokoharam have stepped up, let their lifelessness continue and be looking for yahoo buys. |
