Bet9ja Head Office In Onitsha Sealed By Anambra Satate Internal Revenue Service. by lawrsmith(m): 11:04am On Jul 31, 2019
Punters around new market road onitsha, Anambra state wake up yesterday morning with sealing of their favorite place where they normally place their bet.

The mega bet9ja hall was sealed up by ANAMBRA state Internal Revenue service on the claim of non payment of tax by the management of the betting complex. But the information we were able to gather through some of their staffs is that Anambra state Government is increasing their tax on a year bases.

One of their staffs claimed that in 2017, Anambra state government gave them a tax of 40 million to pay only to return back in 2018 with 60 million which they objected to pay but later make a u- turn and pay it.

This year, Anambra state Government return with a Tax of 136 million to be paid for this year only. So they decided not to pay because if they continue to be paying who knows the amount they will asked to pay in a few years to come. So their argument is that Anambra state government should Estimate their organization and give them tax that is payable just like other organization.

Then early this morning Anambra state internal revenue service still went around Atani road in Ogabru Local government, Anambra state and start sealing bet9ja outlet around the area because of the same Tax issue.

While speaking with one of the Bet9ja agents whose shop was sealed this morning; he said that all the be9ja agents do pay N10; 000 year tax which he has not defaulted for ones, saying that he does not know why Anambra state government should sealed his shop simply because head office owned them.

Okay oo.

But those niggas have money shaa.

Btw, i thought their taxes should go to federal govt as company tax naa.

Do they pay to States too?
Those niggas have money is the same reason Anambra state government is increasing their tax without consideration. They believed that this people is mega rich and that's what the general public think too. But at end of the day; those internal revenue service suppose value their business in order to determine their tax.

There should be a uniform tax for all betting companies operating in the state. The govt of Anambra state shouldn't tax a particular company more than the others because they all operate on same ground.

The government should as a matter of urgency think and value the organization and then come up with a suitable, stable tax for betting companies that operate in the state. In a good clime, this issue will be in court while they sort out the matter.

You don't seal offices because of tax that you just notified them about last month. You will give them time and also give room to negotiations so that people don't see it as a taint to a particular company.
