Can someone please advice me. I am currently building a duplex in Onitsha. We are at the point of sand filling prior to doing the german floor or DPC. Now I am wondering if to sand fill with laterite or use sharp sand if cost are close.
if you can afford it, use sharp sand! instead. there is continuous settlement when laterite is used especially if it's not properly compacted, sharp is more stable and free of Organic constituents.
