We're been warning most especially the southern Nigeria about the danger inherent in the RUGA of Buhari government. It's not an issue of hate or ethnicity, it's a sad reality. In the whole world fulanis have no country, it's Nigeria they lay strong claim on. Now they are in power, they can buy off greedy, glutinous chiefs and get land but the consequences will be grave and long-lasting. I will itemise some reasons why ruga should be rejected:
1. Nigeria's border is conventionally and constitutionally porous and fulanis from different parts of the world find their way easily in Nigeria. The northern fulani leaders enjoy it. So, if you give them land be sure to have a fight because they will invite their brothers from other parts of the world. They won't go back and the number will keep increasing until crisis escalates. After the crisis they will establish their chiefs.
2. Fulanis have identity problem. It's hard to identify nomadic fulani based on his family or community names as we have in primordial Nigerian tribes. Fulanis enjoy multi-nationality which makes it easy for them to disappear to another place after committing a crime.
3.Nigerians are saying that cattle-rearing is a private business but the fulanis are saying all parts of Nigeria are grazing routes! One could hear the deluded Ita Enang mixing issues saying grazing routes or reserves created in 1956. Now the question is who discovered river Niger? We, the owners or the lanky white man who suffered to visit the river at our backyard? How can you ask me to give my house, land to fulani because it was mentioned by one white man as a grazing reserve according to Ita Enang. How can fulanis who came from God-knows-where turn Nigeria into a grazing route? It's crazy.
4. Sadly, the north has been claimed by the fulanis and no tribe in the north is spared. No Hausaman is an emir or even a governor today. The vast northern land now belongs to the fulani. Why is the government not establishing ruga in the north and they still want a compulsory setup of ruga in the tiny free land in the south? Also, this is rainy season, why are the fulani not returning to the north as usual? Are the grasses in the north still dry?
5.Why did Nigerian army suddenly become interested in using Nigerian army land to set up RUGA or cattle colony?
6. Why is the Federal government not taking a census of the nomadic fulanis resident in Nigeria and placing a moratorium on nomadic migration as a way to check killings linked with fulani herdsmen?
7. Lastly, why is Boko haram not abducting or killing fulanis who are even in the bush? I don't wish anyone bad but just trying to know. Why are there no fulanis in the idp camps? Please, the south should be very careful so that the next generation will not suffer, be killed, be displaced as we are seeing in the northern states. This should be the reason for revolution in the south.

I just tire! We need to split already. Valid points you have there. These fulanis will never give up. They are oppressors and those in the corridors of power are just sheer greedy.

Not just RUGA but the proscription of the shiite group .
The present govt seems to be sending one message to the world which is they cannot tolerate citizens expressing their rights to protest whether it is peaceful or not.
