Former minister of aviation, Femi-Fani Kayode, has praised himself in his former role, saying he must have done something right in stopping plane crashes.

Mr Fani-Kayode was appointed aviation minister on November 7, 2006, and left the position on May 29, 2007, at the expiration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s tenure, Igbere TV reports.

Fani-Kayode said in a tweet on Tuesday that the year before he became minister witnessed five plane crashes, adding that there was no crash under his watch.

“The year before I became Minister of Aviation there were 5 plane crashes with the loss of 453 lives. When I became Minister the planes stopped crashing. There was not one crash under my watch. When I left the Ministry planes started crashing again. I must have done something right!” he said.

The most recent major plane crash in the country occurred on June 3, 2012, involving a McDonnell Douglas MD-83 passenger plane, 5N-RAM, operated by Dana Air from Abuja to Lagos.

All 146 passengers and seven crew members were killed. Six victims were found inside the buildings that were hit by the plane.

This man is sick in the brain. Plane crash could be due to human failure, technical failure or other conditions.

How does it correlate with the ministry of aviation whose major function is to control, regulate, and formulate policies for civil aviation sector of the country.

Does he mean the plane crashes happening around the world are only due to the failure of aviation ministries?

My major concern is the number of people that idolizes him even when he speaks rubbish. Oga o
