Our client is one of the best brand review & management company in Nigeria. They are well-funded, venture Capital backed product writing & business review. This company has been featured in popular journals at home and abroad, most especially Nigerian newspapers. We hereby require applications from suitable and qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions due to the expansion of business as news writers and as news editor. Successful candidates will be required to practice and implement our core values, based on their experiences.

Reports to: Operation Manager/Executive Assistant

The Role:

This job is considered to be hands-on writing for brands and products from all nooks & cranny of people-oriented business. You are required to be very astute, IT compliant, determined to make waves, have anger to stand out and burning passion for unique articles.

Responsibilities:

*Develop news stories as per information generated by wire service, assignment desk, newspapers and press releases in field and archives.
*Perform research and write unbiased and factual news stories, re-write, edit and publish.
*Perform research on brand from source and develop stories that will enhance or criticize brands, for smooth & easy business development in Nigeria business sphere.
*Develop and write news stories that address the interest of customers.
*Design and edit news for reading by anchors and communicate appropriate stories to the audience.
*Perform copy editing of scripts for accuracy, factual content and correct language.
*Give periodic & accurate advice to the management on ways to improve the Brand reviews and writing as at when needed.
*Manage the process of online & offline newsgathering, editing, publishing & marketing

Required Education Level & Personal skills:

*Must be able to communicate to both management and staff clearly and informatively. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer operations and programs such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, with graphics package.
• Ability to work independently and creatively.
• Ability to research & write creative contents is a must
• Minimum of 1-2 years news writing experience, in Nigeria or Abroad
• Ability to independently handle all company gadgets.
• Very Intelligent, must be ready for tough criticisms (an A-Level Person)
• A B.Sc. or HND Holder in Journalism, Mass Comm. or English or social science(A passion for writing is a key factor)

*Candidate must have a high level of Good Character
