I think there is a confusion here as regards the whether it is the federal govt or Kaduna state that is dragging stuff with this man; I am confused as to while state govt will be prosecuting someone and the Federal govt will be using 3.5 million naira to feed the fellow per week or month. I am not understanding drama o.

No other authorities, executive or otherwise, has power to vary,input or detract from the conditions of release or medical bail granted by a competent court of law which is the exercise of the unfettered discretion and inherent power of the court. Doing so as in this case is an abuse of court process and an attempt by the Executive to confer on itself the power of the court, negating the principles of separation of power. The prosecution should have laid these conditions before the court and requested the court to take them into consideration in the event of granting the application to seek medical treatment.

The fact that he has been released to seek medical attention should convey some sense of urgency. It therefore is clear that the Kaduna govt has concocted these conditions to deliberately delay/deny the defendant his right to the enjoyment of a court pronouncement in his favour.

Lawless idiots abound within the corridors of power under this APC dispensation.

But the court has given conditions already. Why is the FG on same issue again?

If the say the people should take care of their medical/travel/accomodation expenses, who then will cater for the FG escort that will be with them all through the duration.

If the cost would be bourne by FG, then that will be a waste of tax payers money.

I believe we the citizens of this country is one of the biggest problem we are facing in this country .they will still be the same ppl that will come back criticizing the government for releasing him onconditionally if anything should go wrong later.

Same way a Magistrate Court gave bail to the #RevolutionNow Protesters, after bail has been met, the Registrar of Court, acting under "Orders from Hard Rock" in Abuja, instructed the Magistrate not to sign the bail bond after the bail conditions have been met!

Is Buhari turning Nigeria to a Banana Republic or RUGA Republic?

But hey, like all these Big Men that use "Medical treatment" to run away from Justice (Dezzianni Madueke, Olisah Metuh, etc), the Court will certainly attach conditions to anyoen they feel is a flight risk, unless the Judge is "in on it" as well.
The whole idea of bail condition is to ensure the person comes back to Nigeria to continue their trial.
Court should not be an accomplice is escaping Justice or facing trial.

You know that they are stupid now. They should just allow him to go so that he can become another Kanu.
EL Zakzaky is facing a serious charge of treason, he was training over 5000 men with the intention to overthrow the government, in in last trial, one of his men made a confessional statement to that effect. Meanwhile, before you blame Buhari, he was not even in power yet when El Zakzaky started making his coup d tat plans.
We can argue that it's wrong of the government to leave him in detention but any country will do that. It's not news that all countries hate offenses that are treasonable.
Do you even know that he was expelled from ABU Zaria University over offenses bothering on attempting to motivate Muslims into acts of terrorism? Go and read his history, the government has a reason for keeping him, his wife and 2 other commanders.
