Godwin Obaseki has marched on with his plans to decamp from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party with another closed-door meeting held recently in the residence of the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, which had in attendance Chief Tom Ikimi and Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

The governor who is increasingly aware that he lacks the popularity and influence to secure another ticket on the platform of the ruling party is holding these meetings to get another party platform and placate the fears of some PDP members who are wary of letting him into their fold.
