The Chelsea game play (with the ball) was better yesterday but their defence remains poor which is typical of English managers. If you can out gun opponents it will win you matches but like the old saying goes, it is defence that wins trophies.

Lampard should pay more attention to tactics. He is surrounded by an abundance of European managers who are generally more tactically averse and play the game to win, not just to score. The two games so far has revealed a certain degree of naivety. The Premiership is not the Championship.

I beg to disagree, For a relatively new manager coaching at this level, I think super Frankie's selection and gameplay was absolutely spot on. Obviously, Jurgen Klopp is more experienced, Lampard showed that he's light years ahead of his coaching contemporaries (Giggs, Neville brothers etc..). Chelsea were really impressive yesternight, the introduction of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount was top draw move, Tammy really tormented the Red's backline. The coach has shown great faith in the academy graduates, I forsee Frankie doing great things at Chelsea.
