The unfortunate thing is that thousands of your fathers died so that Igbo can come back to Lagos.

Those who still call Zik a great man are those not familiar with history and why Nigeria is in this shoddy state. It was his greed to control a large territory with the mindset that the North was not wise enough that evolved us into this crumbled country.

I come from a lineage of great men, go ask about Mbadiwe and Ojike families... and I insist that Zik was a lackey to the British and consequently the North, any Igbo person or anyone for that matter with half a sense of history... would know Zik was the primary reason we are in a forced union together. Go and confer with your history books, or do some basic research... before you make a fool of yourself any further.
You are right to blame zik for this forced union, but u should know that he did it for a very good reason . He studied in the United States n saw how unity made the USA a great country n so he wanted same for Nigeria .
He was not a tribalist like awo n ahmadu bello were, although the igbos hate him for this, it doesn’t remove the fact that he remains the greatest man to ever trod the African soil........

From my research and findings Nigeria was never great was never a paradise poverty always prevailed and government officials were always looting on all sides.

Our generation only have this false sense of the "good old days" ask any grandparents or senior citizens how was life back then ..if it was any good we won't be in this mess today after all we would have inherited some wealth at least..

Think about it........

Even if he had aligned with Awo, that wouldn't have stopped Nigeria from becoming one?

Exactly......'cause the sardunna has made it known implicitly that he will not willing submit his (northern) people to serve the southern infidels in the name of one (obviously fake) Nigeria. If the southern infidels are so desirous of one nigeria then it must be at his behest else they can go phock themselves for all he cares.

To show how much he (sardunna) cares for one "united" Nigeria, when zik, in his lust for power and domination, eventually gave him power on a platter, the sardunna sent his minion Tafawa balewa -a mere Grade II teacher- as his stooge. The sardunna instead prefers to stay behind and atend to the interest of his fulani people.

Ever since, we have been under northern domination save for the interregnum when zik's kinsmen finally hold sway and finally put in place the machination the north now uses to dominate the rest of the country.

Thunder strike that mouth u use in say the bigoted bastard n lunati Zik is a great man after the orchestrated the killing of the prime minister who by the way was superior to him in 100 folds and the premier of both western n northern region. May Zik n his entire household dead or alive till his 7th generation rot in hellfire.
