Both husband and wife do go see the doctors too over issues as regards childlessness for medical checkup to ascertain where the problem lies and remedies etc...

it's the illiterate society that we live in that succumbs to your statements above. I know you're simply stating your observations.

In developed societies, sperm donors are used when it's obvious where the fault might originate from.

In Nigeria, a lot of women no longer are as ignorant and therefore cheat for the purpose of having a child. The husband may play along with the "positive result" to hide his sterility or beat the woman to the point she loses her baby.
