Irrespective of what you believe or your religious inclination one thing is constant and that is, that there is God.

It doesnt just stop there, but also that God has laws. The evidence of these laws is that you are a moral agent with a conscience. No animal is moral or has a conscience, that means you have a responsibility and failing in that responsibility has a consequence.

God gave you moral instruction which you know for example

You know stealing is bad,

yes but have you ever stolen in your life even if it is once?
The God said in exodus in the ten commandments " thou shalt not steal"

you might not be into the bible
but

you know stealing is wrong right.

yes what is important is you know
you know lying is wrong dont you

the law was written for us to know or rather to confirm our knowing.

it is not about knowing the law, it is about doing it
it is not the hearers of the law that are justified but the doers of the law

do you mention God's name in vain? maybe unknowingly, you are still guilt. ignorance before the law is no excuse

Have you ever lusted after a man or a woman 8n your heart to desire sexual intimacy from them?
Before God's eyes you are guilty of adultery

Have you served idols?
pephaps it might well known deities,
idolatry means making a god after you heart.
you might be living on your rules or even an ideology not from God which you live by.

this is fashioning a god that you serve.

you are guilty

liar is someone that tells lies. if you have ever told a lie, then you are a liar

if you have ever taken what does not belong to you before,
tou are a thief

if you have ever lusted after a man or a woman before
you are an adulterer

if you have ever lived by your rules or any ideology God didnt tell you ro live by or made up a god in your mind or hands.
you are an idolater

if you have ever called God's name in vain you are a blasphemer

irrespective of your tribe , religion or place you live you know the right or the wrong

The problem is

you are guilty

If Your life as a whole both your words,thoughts and actions are recorded and reviewed before God,
do you think you will be innocent or guilty?

If you are guilty of all these sins and more and you have no way of escape or you think your good works, moral uprightness or religious activity can make you escape sorry you are wrong.

In the old testament God gave the law to the Israelites.

The law is to remind man how far away he is from God
