What's the point of fighting corruption if there's no accountability? We might as well have allowed GEJ or Atiku to rule, same ni.....SMH!

The rot in the public service is too enormous. Sadly, it appears the president doesn’t understand the extent of the rot. We cannot achieve much in the fight against corruption by just relying on petition before investigating and prosecuting corrupt officials the way ICPC and EFCC does. We need something deeper and that is where the Auditor General comes in.

The Auditor General is in a very good position to monitor MDA’s and force them to expend public funds as stipulated in financial regulations and other extant laws and circulars. Sadly, the OAuGF is handicapped because it still works with an audit ordinance law that was passed in 1956. There is an urgent need to pass the Fedeal audit bill into law so as to empower the AuGF to deal with some of these erring MDAS.

If we are serious about developing Nigeria, we need to first break it up into six nations like the UK. Then weaken the central govt. The people can be closer to their leaders. All these nonsense happen becus the politicians know that the people don't know how to hold their leaders accountable. And we can't hold them accountable for now due to tribal difference. We Are just wasting our time. Anyone who comes to rule naija as it is will not achieve anything as long as this constitution is with us.

Buhari is the worst since 1960 with rating of 9/100 when the best is almost at 14/100.

Any "corrupt" individual that relinquishes funds to EFCC in this administration is a capital fool. Run before they come to pocket ur share after pocketing theirs. grin grin shocked

EFCC under barawo bubu has turned into a corruption cesspit itself.

anonimi:

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has rented a mansion in the elitist Maitama District of the Federal capital territory (FTC) Abuja, News Express can report this morning.

The storey building located at No. 8B, Rudolf Close, off Katsina Ala Crescent, in the highbrow Maitama District, was the abode of a former federal minister who died some time in May 2014.

An impeccable source said: “The property was rented to the Acting EFCC Chairman for N40,000,000 at N20,000,000 per annum.

“Furthermore, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) curiously awarded a contract to Africa Energy, a company owned by Rtd Air Comm. Umar Muhammad, to furnish the residence at the cost N43,000,000, in a Government where the President is known to have frowned at and rebuked his ministers for requesting N20,000,000 each to secure accommodation and furnish them.

“It is shocking that the man spearheading the anti-corruption crusade of the government will be involved in such a venture. More surprising is the involvement of FCDA in renting a house for EFCC and under what arrangement.”

News Express made efforts to get the reaction of Magu and EFCC but the commission’s spokesmen Osita Nwajah and Wilson Uwujaren did not respond to text messages sent to them seeking their reaction to the story.

Anthony Ayine just be ready to receive your sack letter because you have annoyed apc for indicting their Lords.

Another Northerner bracing up to take over your seat. Truth annoys apc like hell. Sincerely I pity this man.

Job RIP in advance.....

And be preparing for EFCC visitation........

Buhari can only do his best and so long as MDAS and corporations do not take their financial accounting seriously, I really don't know what Buhari can do.

It would be virtually impossible for the President to issue a circular to every MD or DG of government agencies to authorize an audit and submit same to the Auditor-General. Therefore, the office of the Auditor-General needs to be made more powerful and it should be supervised by the office of the vice president. Every government agency must have an auditor who must ensure compliance with financial regulations, and if there are violations, at least EFCC and ICPC should know who to go after.

Kudos to the Auditor-General for speaking out. At least ABBA Kyari and his gang would not cook anything to force him out so that one of their own would be planted there to continue the chain of corruption.
