If you mean this, i wil advice you never to try buy smart phone from anyone that you can not guaranty owns bought the phone with proofs of receipt and carton, including fairly used smart phones in the market because some of them are stolen phones and if the imei number is not changed and the real owner decides to track it through police even if they stole the phone in Lagos and you bought it in Anambra or Zamfara you are still not safe. All the real owner needs to do is; report at police station with proof of ownership i.e the receipt and carton and money. Talking from experience i was a victim.

I'm aware of such but aren't there those London used that have receipts and are also sold at cheaper prices?

Itel p33 4000mah battery. I think its less than 25k self
Or gionee p10 same battery capacity. Check jumia its 25k
thanks. I learnt that The p33 is 22k while d plus variant is 26k. I have bin thinking of this particular Itel phone but i have been hearing some negative comments about itel/tecno/infinix phones. I'm seriously confused. I would like a phone that will last me a little time as a student and not one that will give me unnecessary headaches. What do u think?

Londod used... Of course that's what phone sellers will tag it, and even write receipt for you.
Speaking for myself; i will rather buy a brand new smart phone i can afford, or buy second hand phone from a close friend that i know bought it himself of course with the receipt and carton, or wait till i can afford my brand new desired phone. The last option is the most preferable to me. Often times, greed is what pushes people into the trap of buying a stolen phone and the greedy ones are always their target, you know what you are buying is worth so much more than the amount you are offering.

Always beware of too good to be true deals. #TheRichestManInBabylon.

Firstly, remember i can not guaranty any phone as i am not the manufaturer.
Secondly, i gave you options according to your budget and specification.
Thirdly, you can always get a better phone with more money.
Lastly, follow your mind.

We can also give Oukitel C17 Pro a thought about being the best phone under 40k? Well, it is available for 25,890, I think it will be a better choice it has Helio P23 with 4GB RAM and even the battery is 3900mAh which is quite huge!

I'd advice you not to
My sister bought a brand new Tecno spark 3 about a month ago and within that space of time it sometimes hung for no reason or slowed down when used for too many things at once

Abiodunspectre:
In the world of budget smartphones, the $115 (N40,000) mark is a sweet spot for a lot of people. As a matter of fact, I was not surprised when someone requested that I put together a list of the best Android phones under 40000 Naira.

This price point is critical because it is where you find the crossover between 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM. We will be exploring the best smartphones under N40,000 in different categories – top performance, best battery life, best physical build, all-round value, and lastly a budget category.

Now, let’s get down to our list.

Gionee S11 Lite (4GB,32GB)

The S11 Lite from Gionee was released in 2017, so it runs Android 7 Nougat, which is a bit old now. But it is still a very capable smartphone and is one of the best Android phones under 40000 Naira you can buy today. It has a respectable Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. With that amount of RAM, launching apps and switching between apps is bliss. It has a 5.7-Inch HD display with18:9 aspect ratio, 4G LTE, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Price : N36,200

UMIDIGI A3 Pro

With the same 5.7″ screen size as the Gionee S11 Lite, UMIDIGI A3 Pro is more up-to-date in terms of software. It runs Android 8.1. and is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6739 processor.

Its strength is in the fact that it is equpoped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Plus, there is a 12MP+5MP dual camera, along with a fingerprint reader, at the back. If you want the A3 Pro, Jumia and Konga are the places to check.

Price: ₦31,900

TECNO Pouvoir 3 (LB7)

TECNO Pouvoir 3 has a massive 5,000mAh battery. The display is 6.2″ in size, and there is 4G LTE support, 32GB storage, 2GB RAM, 13MP + 13MP dual camera, Fingerprint reader, and Face Unlock.

If a battery that does not run out for over 24 to 48 hours is what you want and have a budget under N40,000, this is it.

Price: ₦39,490

Nokia 3.1 3GB/32GB

The Nokia 3.1 is the most capable and most up-to-date smartphone on this list. It was launched in 2018 with Android Oreo and it has already received Android Pie, and it is on line to receive Android Q update as well.

The 2990mAh battery may seem small, but when you consider that the display is only 5.2 inches, it is more than adequate.
