OP, an average IPOB miscreant doesn't care about these salient issues you raised, at least not until they find themselves in real time facing these challenges, then you hear them quickly changing narrative and blaming other tribes for 'hating' them.

They have this penchant for acting before thinking. I do honestly feel that there's a mass hypnotism on them.
You remember what happened during the civil war?
A man knew very well that he had no ammunition, not enough trained personnel and wasn't ready to make a deal with foreigners to assist him,yet he insisted on the war that led to the death of millions of Igbos, and after,he conveniently ran away same way Nnamdi KANU ran away.
Biafra would turn out to be the most lawless nation ever if ever considered.
That's why most reasonable Igbos would do about anything to keep the idea of Biafra still a mere fantasy in the minds of the uncultured IPOB miscreants.

Right deep within the core of an Enugu man,he's not happy that NK - an Abia man - led to the attempted murder of Ekweremadu,an Enugu man.

The struggle for the actualization of the Biafra Nation took a new twist when members of the now proscribed group "IPOB" took laws into their hands and deemed it fit to send a strong warning to other Igbo politicians.

However, unknown to them is that to every action there is a reaction. The beating of ex-deputy senate president. Sen. Ike Ekweremadu might have passed a message as the group intended, it has however caused more adverse effects on the group itself.

The group with its recent action has justified the ban of its activities, which includes the right to protest, gather or even have a meaningful meeting by a federal high court in Abuja labeling them as a terrorist group.

With this, the groups claim to injustice and agitations for a breakaway has simply been rubbished, international bodies such as Unicef, ICC, and UN will obviously want to have nothing to do with a group that is not only proscribed but also proven to be lawless, has no respect for fundamental human rights and apparently has no structure.

According to the International Crisis Group, Biafra does not currently exist as a distinct unit in Nigeria and the separatists are not clear about how they see the territory of the "new Biafra".

Some claim it would include all areas inhabited by people of Ibo descent, including parts of the oil-rich Niger Delta to the south and Benue state to the north, but the other people of these regions vehemently oppose inclusion in any new Biafra.

Other separatists say a restored Biafra would be limited to the five core Ibo states - Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo - administratively referred to as Nigeria's "South East Zone".

No sane politician from the southeast will ever consider standing up for the IPOB, especially as with the treatment meted out to ex deputy senate president who has always stood for the group at different situation and most importantly secured the bail and release of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, another prove the group ideologies are not clear.

Tribalism obviously has an extremely negative effect on Nigeria’s unity, and in some cases, can even be life-threatening, because some people are ready to do anything to stand for their ideals.

The tribalist experiences of the other countries show us that such division brings nothing but conflicts, fear, nd exclusion.

To become a really strong nation, we have to accept each other with all the differences and try to find the compromises in a peaceful and non-violent way.

Nigerian people show their strongest qualities and learn to get along with each other regardless of their cultural and social differences, Nigeria will become a nation instead of territory.

Go and sit down!

IRA continued to enjoy representation and dialogue in UN while at home it continued throwing bombs at British targets.

Stop trying to scare ipobians. They are not cowards like you.

Dress appropriately to anywhere ipob is guest of honor.

I use to hold you in high esteem and considered you as one of the few sensible ones on this forum, but you've proven me wrong with this your comment.
So your way of holding your leaders accountable is by physically assaulting them?

What happened to boycotting the occasion if you had any issue with him?

What if the man had been fatally injured during the attack, would you still be here justifying your primitive action?

Do you know that if anything happens to that man forthwith, someone would be right to hold IPOB responsible for it?

Goodness me!

This your mentality is exactly why Biafra will remain bed time stories for idle IPOB miscreants.

u dont need to hold me in high esteem. I dont write for likes...i write to shape opinions.

The fact that the people who attacked him were not arrested even tho they never ran away showed clearly to any angry nigerian who is tired of our politicians that the european authorities are tired of our politicians too.

Get ur head out of ur hero-worshipping ass and read about the french revolution which opened the way for the europe u have today. Ekweremadu has just been sent a msg that men are not happy and that self help is next if he and others dont do their job.

He can start by agitating for state police

Nigeria has maybe 20yrs to get it right b4 the era of oil is over and we will have to rely on wat we built with our oil money for over 70yrs we were selling oil.

One truth a lot of people don't know is that; Ike Ekweremadu has been a traitor on d part of d igbos. He's been used by d Nigeria politician to scuttle d Biafra agitation in many ways. For instance, he was in support of d Python dance where many young guys were massacred. He made sure Nnamdi kanu was tactically exiled from Nigeria. He frustrated d Enugu-Portharcout expressway project etc. He has been playing a fancy politics with the SE but youths from d other regions will not understand. So ipob had to take up d issue and address their anger in this manner. Reckless as d action may seem, the ipob are right. Ike Ekweremadu is a gullibility opportunist who deserve such a disgrace.
I'M NOT IBO THOUGH

Ask most of my brother's screaming Biafra what is the Ideology behind the whole struggle they won't know a thing. Among all the secessionist movements i have known and read about Biafra is the one that lacks a clear blue print of what it intends to achieve and a clear cut strategy of how to go about it and massive funds. Ojukwu was for armed struggle, IPOB and the others am not even sure their members have a clue.
Secession is more than just organizing street protests and venting anger on the government. Secession is serious business, not this joke we are witnessing. Someone is taking people on a wild goose chase here and as it is with Nigerians all over, we put sentiments/bigotry ahead of logic.

Re: The Effects Of Ekweremadu's Attack That Igbo Don't Know by Ugwuoha: 9:37pm On Aug 19, 2019
A look through Nairaland clearly reveals that a great majority of people in this part of the world are quite very shallow in reasoning. The Nigerian social environment has a way of impoverishing the reasoning accuity of its populace.

Why would any sane person condemn the symbolic protestational beating given to Ekweremmadu?

The politicians have not only beaten the people for a very long time with the sledge hammer of wickedness and greed, but also have also bombed every aspect of the people's social amenities to ground zero!
Just this one beating and them black fools are all foaming and frothing at the mouth.
Those men who gave Ekweremmadu that foreign "clapping" are men of heroic character.
I have already bowed my head seven times
and released 21 canon shots from my backyard
to mark this historic symbolism in the quest for the restoration of the State of Biafra.

Nigeria is a funny place!
Herdsmen slaughter people daily, rape women. Nobody says anything

Unarmed IPOB will protest peacefully, they will send Soldiers to go shoot them, proscribe them and declare them terrorists. Nobody will speak up about that injustice.

But Ekweremadu will go to Germany, gets bundled out of the venue to his car. This is where all of them will now talk! It took the 'roughing up' of a Senator for the following to talk:

Ohanaeze
Orji Uzo Kalu
Ayo Fayose
Asari Dokubo
Abike Dabiri
The Nigerian Senate president
Osita Chidoka

And so many others. They are so concerned about how Ekweremadu was 'disgraced'

When IPOB are tortured in muddy water, they dont talk

When unarmed IPOB women are locked up for protesting, they dont talk

What they send python dance to kill unarmed IPOB, they say nothing

When unarmed IPOB who killed nobody are declared terrorists while armed herdsmen who kill people everyday are rewarded with Ruga, they say nothing

But once you touch Ike Ekweremadu in Germany, they will come out to shout about how wrong this is and the injustice of it all.

So what matters is how highly placed an individual is? Justice is for the senator while the common man on the street means nothing to them.

Ok oo

Don't mind the idiots they want all of us to die before they will talk, God will punish them all via we the youths of Biafran.
More names will be joined in the beaten & flogging.

Your last paragraph is a blatant lie. Nothing as such is found among us any more. States don't matter here. I'm a member of IPOB and I did state my mind on this issue. I emphatically said that I have a mix feelings about it particularly for the person involved. Ekweremadu may not have done like we expected of him but his loyalty is definitely not in doubt. Tearing his clothes was a bit overboard where grilling under intense pressure would have passed a better message saving some narratives. Alas, the deed has been done and all parties left to study the lessons that came with it. For Ekweremadu, he now knows that his people are ANGRY with him over issues on securing the lives of the common man. How do you comfortably travel thousands of kilometres to go celebrate while your backyard is being ravaged by terrorists? This is the main bone of contention which many have glossed over. Our mothers can't go to farms over fear of rape. Our priests attacked and killed for speaking against the injustice in the land. Our so called representatives need to wake up. If it were for persons like Rochas or Orji Kalu, personally I'll hit them. These ones are totally sellouts. Their blood aren't any precious than that of the common Biafran man.
I believe Ekweremadu himself has got the message, personally I'll say to him; sorry but no sorry. He understands. We value everyone of our people. Speak out against the intimidation and killings going on in our lands.
