People all over the world travel from one location to the other, from city to city or country to country for either holidays, honeymoon, pleasure, fun or for educational purposes.

No matter the reason before embarking on these journeys, tourism remains the singular umbrella under which these journeys fall. Tourism is the act and process of spending time away from home in order to relax, for pleasure or educational purpose while making use of the commercial provision of services

Travelling they say, is part of education. This old axiom holds true today and apart from the obvious emotional health that change of location can avail an individual, people who travel out of their immediate environments for pleasure often get detribalized as they mingle with people from different backgrounds, get to understand their culture and belief system and ultimately get to fall in love with them as well as what they do, and it also facilitates their letting go of eccentric bigotry.

Tourism isn't only beneficial to the individual alone but of immense economic benefit to a lot of people in the service industry, beginning from the local taxi man through the airport, to the hoteliers as well as owners and operators of tourist centres and the destination country at large.

Nigeria as a country, being a home of tourist attraction, has done very well in the past and has earned a lot from tourism and will continue to do so if she can harness her natural resources and create more tourists attraction centres. Nigeria is replete with a lot of attraction centres as well as nice and comfortable hotels. A quick view of Nigeria and its amazingly affordable hotels can be found on https://timbu.com/nigeria.

Nigerians on the other hand, can do better by reducing their tours to foreign countries and concentrate more on internal tourism in order to reduce capital flight and to tell the international world that they really appreciate their own country. This will in turn, attract foreign tourists and go a long way in creating employment for the youths.

In conclusion tourism makes the world go round and ensures that wealth circulates around the world.
