EkunKekere:
cry

Before NCAN descends on this thread and uses the criminal's name as a punchline, let us all remember that this is a tragedy and not a laughing matter.

The extreme poverty in the land caused by the ineptitude of the idiots who have been running the country since 2015 is creating a lot of mentally unstable monsters.
i hope you have been preaching same thing when other ethnic group involved ?

Upon all your disciplinary efforts, your daughter still stole, should have been an indication that your cruel methods were not working.

Did you know the bible condemns maltreating children (Read Collosians 3:21)

Though the Bible says spare the rod and spoil the child, we need to understand it in the proper context. Many parents have used that verse to justify excessive flogging of their wards.

The rod there does not necessarily stand for physical pain? Why is that so.

I'm sure most of us are conversant with Psalms 23 . The Lord is my shepherd

In versewuoting King James version it says, 'Your rod and your staff, they comfort me'. How can rod "confort"?.

The rod there stands for guidance. King Solomon said, "A child let on the loose is bringing the mother shame"

So the rod properly stands for guidance.

In another verse, it says, if you bear your child, he will not die.

The rod there stands for actual cane. But even in the way it is worded, it is obvious that the Bible is admonisging parents not to be too worried and hesitant when there's really a need to take, action. Reasonableness is key.

However, the best form of discipline is the parents example. If you lie and you tell you children never to lie, you've failed on arrival. If you tell your kids not to steal but they know you steal, what do you think will happen?

The first thing Jesus probably did, was to leave a model for us to follow closely.
