Suspected herdsmen have killed a pregnant woman in Nchatancha Nike in Enugu East Council Area of Enugu State.

This comes weeks after a catholic priest, Reverend Fr. Paul Offu, was murdered along Ihe-Agbude road in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu by men suspected to be herdsmen.

The pregnant woman, whose name has not been revealed, was attacked on her way back from the farm.



Her stomach was said to have been opened in an attempt to remove the baby.

Police in Enugu have confirmed the incident.

Members of the community have blocked the Enugu-Abakaliki Expressway to protest the murder.

I loathe the herdsmen but if the baby was attempted to be removed, couldn't we also suspect ritual killers?
Why the menace of herdsmen is alarming,we should also be aware that killers have always existed, before they incepted their killings ....not all news headline should be tagged "suspected herdsmen.."until proven rightly.
