His citizenship can be withdraw if he is declared terrorist and a treat to the kingdom.
It's just that Buhari is not ready for him, if Buhari want him in the country in the next 48 hours he will be repatriated.
you Are clever by half bro... I'm not a fan of the shenanigans going on..but I just had to educate u, usually I read I pass... Sometimes go naughty... Or what av u, perhaps to place some people however today isnt one of those days...

The United Kingdom isn't govern by individuals but people.... Because of this u see a functional society where people decide their own fate on a daily basis...

Calling for kanu to be declared a terrorist and extradited nigerian people and the British will have to prove it clearly in front of a randomly selected jury unbiased no ethnic or religious divide... My own brother severally has been a juror here.

It's not as u think... Even my nephew was killed Here and the jury still decided it was involuntary manslaughter on provocation...

In countries where the people govern themselves through selected representatives, religion, sentiments etc is highly irrelevant and inconsequential..

story
What is holding buhari na?
Even with all the jubril from Sudan story

Besides Britain knows the real terrorist who deprive harmless nigerians from exercising their rights to free protest.

Don't speak as one who is naive, it is the plea by Ekweremadu, Ohaneze Ndi-igbo and the South-East governors to Buhari to soft-pedal on the Kanu issue, that made Buhari to even allow him to be released after FG refused to yield to several court orders......

To now suddenly begin to underestimate the abilities of FG simply because Kanu is free will be foolhardy.

All the government needs to do is gain an order from a court declaring Kanu a wanted fugitive, lets not forget, Kanu lawyer had demanded in court that the military provide kanu, but here he is allegedly placing bounties up and down, proof that he absconded trial and skipped bail.

If FG gets that order, a simple review of Biafran literature and edicts as issued by Kanu via Radio Biafra and social media handles is enough for the UK to ship him down to Nigeria, same thing with Israel (both Nations have zero tolerance for separatists of any kind).

The British Government will revoke his citizenship instantly. The only option left to Kanu will be to fight it in British court, gather his past social media interviews (especially the one where he open insulted her Majesty the queen) and other digital receipts and Present it to interpol and in British court against him and he will be in Nigeria faster than you can imagine.

Kanu should not tempt fate, having escaped a Nigerian gulag, others locked with him weren't so lucky

Nigerians would do any and everything to get their 15 minutes of fame and curry favor from whom ever they think has a pie that they would like a piece of. They would go to any unimaginable length to disgrace themselves just to show their pseudo loyalty as long as there's some personal gain to be derived. An example of such lickspittle is Mr. Okonkwo. He is a nobody and yet he craves relevance by trying to assert himself in the political discourse. To ask a sovereign nation that truly cares and protects its citizens to surrender same to Nigeria -a very corrupt and lawless country- for prosecution on trumped up charges goes to show the level of idiocy of Mr. Okonkwo. If Nnamdi Kanu is a terrorist according to this asslicker, he should tell Nigerians what the Fulani herdsmen are.

U don't understand that Nigerian government can write to UK of how he's creating nuisance here n due to diplomatic ties UK will b forced to look into the case. N the first question any reasonable body will ask nnamdi kanu is that, is there referendum in the constitution? If not look for ways to add it n pursue your ambition without coercing n causing trouble.

Every great freedom fighter is a nobody that can be dealt with.

Nobody knew Madaela until he was dealt with. Even me didn't know Kanu until he was dealt with.

The western world does not honor repartition requests that border on human rights infringement. Let Buhari write the UK ni. Who hold him hand?

Even if he were not a British citizen, given the antecedent of the Nigerian government to clamp down on all opposition and label them terrorists; he can claim political asylum in the UK citing that, he wouldn’t be given a fair trial in Nigeria.

The Nigerian government have over reached and can easily be proven in court to engage in duplicity; since they have yet to label the Herdsmen or BK a terrorist organization, but had done so to IPOB as they have to prove during the extradition hearing in UK that, they were fair in proscribing IPOB a terrorist organization and that he will be given a fair trial in accordance to international standards.

ote author=deic9 post=81641134]Naija which way sef?

We complain that out government is bad, yet we render ourselves so helpless that we cannot stand against them.

I don't like the man Kanu, neither do I suppose his ulterior motive if he has any, yet, I would rather we hijack the battle for a good leadership from him and face our rulers as to make then responsible and accountable.

What I see instead is people(Same people suffering consequences of bad government) supporting the government against Kanu, calling for his arrest as if he is the reason this country is soooo odd and if arrested or killed, all our struggles are over.

A government(PDP, APC and the rest) that is so ready to bring down anyone against her in other to ensure we the people remain in a terrible situation that keeps getting worst by the day.[/quote]

The boldened applies to naturalized citizens not citizens by birth. He can be extradited but the process is cumbersome, that's why Diezani has been hiding in the same UK with no meaningful headway for the FG to get her extradited.

And you think the great Britain don't know about Nigeria more than Buhari himself. If he was a treat, it is the U.K that would have long detected it before him himself will start manifesting it. U.K knows the treat Buhari is referring to, the same treat like Sowore, El-Zacazi, etc.
For the record, U.K is a country with laws. And well advanced to keep giving the yet to be a country orders. Not the other way round.

it is not only soft pedal what of brake pedal.
Buhari was dying in London hospital when kanu was released besides respecting a court order from the same courts which buhari disobeyed will be a big insult to Britain .

Sometimes you people talk without reasoning ,do you think the international communities are not watching what is happening in Nigeria? They know by now that buhari does not respect human rights which is one thing those countries dislike most.

Kanu can only be repatriated in your dreams

. A true leader like Ochukwu will never ever run away.He will stand by his course. The leadership in KANU has been reduced to nothingness when he jumped bail and ran away. The noise of IPOB is in abroad while the whole group is dead in Nigeria. With the division in the east and determination to betray one another politically their dream of ruling in 2023 MAY be a mirage.
