i am from enugu state but to say the truth, enugu is a failed state. anambra is the luckiest when it comes to good governance in southeast. please mention just one project that the dundee called ugwuanyi has completed since 5yrs. even bronu is now more secure than enugu state

Dont be deceived by propaganda, there is nothing good or better anywhere in enugu. what enugu town can offer awka can offer it, what onitsha and nnewi can offer in terms of economic acitivities industrialisationa and commercialisation there is nowhere in enugu state that can offer it

As an indigene of the state, my concern is how most of the roads in my hometown of Onitsha had become impassable and turned to one-way streets. I used to remember as a kid growing up, you can catch a cab right in front of your house in "otu" to "Fegge," "Enu-Onitsha" [inland town], "Odoakpu," etc. But now, things have completely changed. You can't even see a cab anymore and the streets had been turned into make-shift market places, thus no access to get into your own house around the evening time. The roads besides been congested due to market activities are also impassable...pot holes and craters dot the roads. The last time the road in front of my house was paved was during Ukpabi Asika's regime back in the 1970's if I remember correctly. Since then, the roads had been neglected by every successive government. So, it befuddles me when I hear people on this forum heap praises on a governor for doing the bare minimum interms of accomplishments. As a society, we have lowered the bar so much because we've gotten accustomed to people in power doing absolutely nothing for the citizens that we have come to accept mediocrity as a benchmark of success. It is up to the citizens to wise up and demand better from their government. It is to be expected that the moment you start lowering the bar, it's down hill from then on.
