The same law applies to the newly formed North East development comission. Infact any regional board will have that law as the other regions will want to be kept abreast of its activities- in case of economic sabotage to the nation for example.

If the law setting up NNDC says each region should have representative.... then why is there no representative from the South East & even North Central.

The guys appointed from Abia & Imo are representing their states being oil producing states hence there's no representative from the south east region. Ondo state is an oil producing state and someone from Lagos state was appointed to represent south west region. I am talking about being sincere in all we do as a nation and always using every opportunity to outsmart another.... not good for our nation.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a 16-man new board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), with Dr. Pius Odubu from Edo State as the Chairman, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that Dr. Odubu was the Deputy Governor to former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, now National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olusegun Adekunle, said the appointment was subject to the confirmation of the Senate.

“President Muhammadu Buhari has, subject to Senate confirmation, approved the composition of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission.

“The interim management headed by Prof. Nelson Brambaifa has been directed to hand over to the most senior director in the Commission.

“The chairman and members of the newly composed Governing Board are, by this release, invited to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Monday, September 2, 2019 for proper documentation and briefing.

“They are to come along with their updated CVs and valid identification”, the statement partly read.

Among the board members are Bernard Okumagba from Delta State, who will serve as Managing Director; and Otobong Ndem from Akwa Ibom, who was appointed as the Executive Director, Projects.

Others are Maxwell Okoh from Bayelsa State;, Jones Erue from Delta State; Victor Ekhatar from Edo State; Joy Nunieh from Rivers State; Nwogu Nwogu from Abia State; Theodore Allison from Bayelsa State.

Also on the list are Victor Antai from Akwa Ibom State; Maurice Effiwatt from Cross River State; Olugbenga Elema from Ondo State; Uchegbu Kyrian from Imo State; and Aisha Muhammed from Kano State representing North-West area on the board.

From Adamawa State, President Buhari appointed Ardo Zubairu to represent the North-East; while Badmus Mutalib was appointed from Lagos State to represent the South-West region on the NDDC board, reports Igbere TV.

True. The disagreement was over succeeding Osho as governor. I was wondering why Oshio and Odubu have been cosying up lately. Oshio even led a group of APC people to Odubu's house recently.

Maybe Oshio is slightly regretting choosing Obaseki and sidelining Odubu who was mute and loyal to Oshio for good 8 years.

He's a mere pussy cat of Ubima. Someone like Amaechi, once he is rewarded himself, he cares less about whether others from his State get anything. In fact he would feel special if he was the only person from Rivers in any Federal position.

my brother,Edo state isn't those states u mentioned.. oshiomole isn't even from the 2 major tribes in Edo..the level of hatred Edo people have for oshiomole is second to none
