Position: Research Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities
• Monitor trends and new investment products and services in the capital market (equity, fixed income, and money market, commodity and currency markets)
• Monitor policy developments in the capital market and other sectors of the economy, measuring their effects on the economy, industry and company performance.
• Measure the effects of Macro and Micro economic indicators/conditions on the performance of companies
• Interpret and analyze financial statements of quoted firms to gauge their performance.
• Perform price forecasting, industry analysis, etc on firms Listed on the Nigerian Stock exchange
• Produce well written, data-backed visual reports for advisory purposes in order to stimulate transactions.
• Make presentations and provide advice to management on investment opportunities in the capital market.
• Provide advice to clients via these reports, with the objective of aiding them to make better-informed decisions about their existing investments as well as new investment opportunities
• Contribute to the development of marketing programs and strategies in attracting and retaining clients and measuring their effectiveness.


Requirements and Qualifications
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance background or Economics
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial services, notably investment banking will be an advantage
• Certified with ICAN/ACCA is mandatory
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
• Ability to manipulate large, complex data sets using a variety of software applications like Microsoft Excel a must.
• Able to perform Statistical analysis
• Skilled knowledge in generating process documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical writing skills a must
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Knowledge of financial analysis and financial modelling is an advantage
