I had this impression that Mogahalu is good upstairs, more so of the fact that he was once in the CBN strategy team.
I am dead wrong I guess.

MOGHALU MAKES IGNORANCE FASHIONABLE

Kingsley Moghalu is either ignorant or playing petty politics. The non-invitation of President Buhari to witness the G7 meeting this year is not a snub.

Neither does it diminish the status of Nigeria as the biggest economy on the continent. It seems no one clarified to the one-time Presidential Candidate how the G7 secretariat works. If they invite a country with an economy the size of Niger State, not Kano’s, not even Lagos’s does it call for Dr. Moghalu’s lamentation? Today, as we see it, they call this country, tomorrow they decide to have another. It’s entirely up to them.

Buhari didn’t go to Europe. Europe came to him in Japan, where the EU had him sign an MOU for 50 Million Euro in support to the country’s devastated North East.

The joke is not on President Buhari. The joke is on Moghalu for attempting to make ignorance fashionable.

But common sense should let anyone know that a country moving from 3rd to 4th world, faced with recession and disregard for the rule of law should not be invited to the G7

If you had common sense, you should ask yourself why Chad was invited to the G-7 summit in 2016.

In 2016, Chad ranked third lowest on the human development list. It is one of the poorest countries in the world, and is fraught with insecurity (including food insecurity), insurgency (Boko Haram), and corruption. Yet, Chad was invited to the 2016 G-7 summit.

Why was that?

Prof Kingsley Moghalu has disgrace the enviable title of ”Professorship" that he bandies around. Such a vulgar utterance shouldn't be heard from him. The conference provided a melting opportunity for African countries to get help from the developed worlds. The conference is Japanese way of attracting the worlds attention to the developmental challenges encumbering Africa. The patriotic Nigerians wouldn't have spared Buhari, if he had failed to be in attendance. If may ask? what is the benefit of Nigerian not been their? Depends on your negotiations skills, sometimes the uninvited guests at such conference tends to benefit more. I'm beginning to think if Kingsley Moghalu is not an IPOB board member.

50 Million Euros you say what is the terms and condition attached to that MOU?
Nigeria has close to 200 million citizens, the next country with the highest population after Nigeria is Egypt with 80 million citizens. Do the math. The same way Nigeria has the highest number of people living under the poverty line, is the same way they have the highest number of rich people. What is all this obsession with G7 invitation about? Nigeria and all other sub-Sahara African countries have had almost 400 years of engagement with some of these G7 countries with nothing to show for it. The white man is only interested in Africa's mineral resources and not about its prosperity. The earlier Africans realise that the developed world doesn't care much about Africa development the better for them. One thing everybody should know is that European and American scholars have written disparagingly about Africans inability to think and develop. Do you think such people will want to help you develop? If Europe and America could not help develop Africa during their colonial rule ,how on earth do we think that these countries are going help now? It is only Africans who can develop Africa if Africans themselves are serious and determined. Foreign countries are only trying to protect their commercial interests in Africa whenever these countries hold multilateral meeting with African leaders.

IT IS A SNUB !

His non invitation is a disgrace to President Buhari.

The western democracy that went for the G-7 summit in Biaritzz, France feels President Buhari is ruling like a military dictator.

President Buhari will probably be the last ex-military officers to rule Nigeria under our new democratic dispensation.

Its a number thing that doesnt change the fact that we are the poverty capital of the world.
A functional government should be able to make and implement policies that will reduce the number of those living under poverty.
Look at Great Britain, Switzerland which Natural Resource do they have.
Nigeria is almost a failed state and the poverty capital of the world because of mismanagement and the number thing can show that.
Having a large number of people under poverty line is not something to brag about(IMO).

Chad has respect for the rule of law. Is there any case of their president disobeying court orders on a repeat? If you are poor a country that is politically stable and has the potential to be great you can be invited to the G7 but that is not the case of Nigeria whose future looks threatening even to it citizens.

First of all, let us talk about the Chadian president. He is Idriss Deby. He has been president since 1990. The Economist calls him a despot.

Who is a despot? According to Wikipedia, a despot is "a ruler or other person who holds absolute power..."

This means that Idriss Deby does not even need to defy court orders since no court can even contest his powers in the first place.

Recently, Idriss Deby promoted a law that would allow him remain in power till 2033. When people protested, he banned social media for a year.

Under this man, Chad has remained one of the poorest countries in the world year in year out. It is also one of the most corrupt countries in the world.

Political stability in Chad is a scam since only one man has been ruling since 1990. And his name is Idriss Deby.

Yet, this power-drunk despot was invited to the G-7 summit in 2016.

Now, let us talk about Buhari defying court orders.

In 2015, Buhari defied court orders to release Dasuki.

In 2016, he defied court orders to release Ibrahim El Zakzaky.

How come he was still invited to the G-7 summit in 2017?
